“I have a large basement, garage, and shed which overtime all became filled with stuff that I could no longer use them in the way I wanted or needed.  Over several years my attempts at purging were incremental but didn't make much of a dent because the volume of stuff needing to be sorted and organized was overwhelming.  I often found myself stuck not knowing where to start, not having the time to get it all done, and feeling disabled by the mental stress of all of it.  Carmen supported me with a plan to purge - to sort and remove items.  And then further refine the sort and purge until we went through every single item making final decisions as to what was valuable, necessary, or needed discarding.  She was extremely helpful in overcoming my stress because in many ways she did a lot of the thinking for me by providing the structure and the process, and I didn’t have to figure that out.  I found that using her process everything went smoothly and I appreciate her ability to hold me accountable to my own goals.  I am very impressed by her level of engagement and support.  The whole thing has been a great success and liberating to see walls I haven't seen in many years!”

“Carmen can help create order where it feels there is none. She is supportive but also helps push you when you need it. Now, my “room of doom” is clean, clear, and open for the first time since the day we moved in! It feels big and bright, and full of promise.”

“Carmen tackled my project with what I can best describe as super empathetic tenacity. She would not be deterred, which is so reassuring when taking on projects that can feel overwhelming. But she was also ever encouraging and made me feel that the end was in sight. And best of all, she does it with a smile and no judgement. I think that she’s seen it all and is unfazed.”

“As a Vietnam Vet exposed to Agent Orange I was well aware that one day I would go blind just like many other vets. I began to lose my sight in my mid-70's and now at the age of 79 I am legally blind with very low vision. The local Veterans Hospital has been teaching me how to maneuver as a blind person. However, they could not help me organize my personal belongings to accommodate my blindness. My reality is that I can no longer just throw my keys somewhere in the living room thinking I would just find them later, or even dig into an overloaded and unorganized kitchen drawer looking for a knife. Carmen showed tremendous empathy and patience with me as we went through every single room in the house and figured out what were the most important changes needed in order for me to feel as independent as possible as a blind man living alone. We then worked through a process of decluttering, removing items, moving furniture and reorganizing in a way that now makes me feel safe and comfortable and at ease that I am in full control and can take care of all of my everyday needs without worry.”
